Desde que quede embarazada hace casi 3 años, tome la decision de llevar una vida mas saludable y balanceada. Mas consciente de los alimentos que ingiero. Asi proporcionaba nutrientes reales a mi bebe y a mi. Como dice el dicho. ERES LO QUE COMES.

Siempre me han gustado las frutas y los vegetales, asi que no es lo mas dificil si tienes tus prioridades claras. LLevar una vida saludable es un estilo de vida, no una dieta rapida de unas semanas y volvemos a los viejos habitos. Cambiar requiere determinacion, no es facil pero tampoco imposible. Para mi no funciona un cambio radical y eliminar todo. yo creo mas en el balance, 80% saludable, 20% pecaditos.

Comer debe ser algo placentero y no una tortura! y la clave para lograr incorporar alimentos saludables, es simplemente ingerir alimentos que te gustan pero de manera saludable. Ejemplo me encantan las fresas, no por eso comerme un cheesecake cada vez que me antojo significa estoy siendo saludable. En su lugar me tomo un  smoothie con fresas en el desayuno a base de agua o las uso como topping en mi receta favorita del desayuno,  Y hablando de desayuno, te compartire  una receta super RAPIDA, FACIL y DELICIOSA con semillas de Chia.

No me invente esta receta, di con ella porque estaba buscando opciones diferentes para el desayuno pero ricas, saludables y que no involucraran lacteos, asi podria compartirlas con mi bebe.  Encontré varias recetas en youtube de inspiracion  y decidi armar la mia,  Queria algo a base de chia y una alternativa al yogurt de almendras que compro en el super. Una alternativa libre de preservantes.

Comenezemos con la receta! Vas a necesitar:

BASE

  • 2 CUCHARADAS DE SEMILLAS DE CHIA (PUEDEN SER NEGRAS, BLANCAS O MIXTAS) EN MI CASO USE MIXTAS.

  • 2/3 TAZA DE LECHE DE COCO O DE ALMENDRAS (SI USAS LECHE DE COCO FULL FAT TE QUEDARA MAS ESPESO)
  • MIEL.

FRUTAS

  • 2 FRESAS GRANDES
  • ARÁNDANOS
  • 1/2 BANANA O GUINEO
  • MANZANA ROJA EN TUQUITOS (PARA DARLE ALGO DE CRUNCH

TOPPINGS

 

  • WILD HARVEST GRANOLA (RECOMIENDO ORGANIC, GLUTEN FREE GRANOLA)

PREPARACION

La preparación es sencilla. Simplemente vierte la leche en un bowl con las semillas de Chia. Déjala reposar unos 20 minutos, así la Chia liberara su gel nutritivo y su digestión sera mas apropiada para el cuerpo, así como la absorción de sus vitaminas y minerales. La chia y la leche formaran una crema parecida al yogurt o pudding. Revuelve bien y comienza a agregar las frutas. Por ultimo los topings y a disfrutar.

Antes no teníamos tiempo para nada… ahora que hay tiempo algunos no saben que hacer con el. Se sienten atrapados, ansiosos, aburridos, temerosos, adictos al celular, etc, etc. Y es que el TIEMPO es una de las cosas mas preciadas que tenemos y así como tenemos mucho o poco, se va y nunca se recupera, así que a aprovecharlo y meterle ganas.

Asi como hay algunos que no saben que hacer con su tiempo habremos otros que queremos hacer de todo, mas lo que debemos hacer que nadie puede hacer por nosotros …. #fulltimemom #fulltimechef #fulltimewife #fulltimetodo . Para no enloquecer y caernos desesperadas en la rutina, saquemos provecho al tiempo.

Aquí te comparto mi top 10 TO DO de actividades que he realizado y algunas las continuo mientras me quedo en casa y paso la cuarentena de manera positiva junto a mi familia!

2018 has come to an end and 2019 is here all shiny waiting for everybody’s resolutions to get on the mail or email I should say.  But did you reach all your goals and completed all your resolutions last year? I did reach almost all of mine, so I decided to share those tricks that help me stay on track and determined to reach them all.

Here’s my list of tips to follow in order to achive your goals for this 2019:

1. Choose realistic short term goals that you can easily achieve.

Easy goals once accomplished, will motivate you to carry on with the other one. For example, drink 8 glasses of wáter everyday or have desserts only on Sundays.

2.Write them down,

Put them all on paper. Print it and have it right in front of your computer so you can see it and be reminded them everyday.

3. Get a Habit or Task Planner App.

If you are a digital junkie and prefer to have everything on your phone or Tablet, I recommend you to try a task planner. Accordding to Elise Moreau, you can never have enough productivity tools. She published a great article with the best goal tracker apps for 2019.  You should check it out. She recommends great options like WAYOFLIFE which I love. I didn’t wanted somenthing to complicated, its super friendly and I can track bad and good habits for the entire week.

4. Asign a deadline or date to each goal.

For example, if one of your goals is walking up early, your goal should be for example, Wake up at 7:.00 from Monday to Thursday for an entire month. If you dont assign a deadline to your goals, you can sit forever and not accomplish them. You will get into the I’ll do it later mode. The year will go by and so your 2019 resolution.

5. Choose mid term and long term goals.

Mid term and long term goals will push you to the next level. Chase them once you have achieved your short term, which will be the easy ones. Then go back to point No. 4. For example: Save x amount of money by x date.

6. Reward yourself for achieving each goal.

Treat yourself with something special after achieving each goal. Like dinner, a spa, a mani pedi or both! You will surely think about the prize and chase those goals.

7. Get backup!

If you know you can get a little lazy somentimes. Ask for a friend or your partner to keep an eye on you if you cheat. Belief me these people will do the job.

8. Keep a positive attitude and have fun.

Don´t carry your goals like a burden, think about why you started, the benefits and reasons behind them.

Those are my 8 tips for reaching and achieving your goals and resolution this New Year. 2019 bring it on, we are ready!

I love gift giving not only in Christmas(which is the best time of the year ever) but for any special occasion. Birthdays, anniversaries or simply getting a detail for those I love.

Now,  gift giving is not only about the gift itself. It’s about WRAPPING THE GIFTS as well!

I love to personalize them, so whoever the gift is for, it has my signature. Also, is a way for me to express how much I care. Gifts should be personal and all about the one who’s receiving it.

For example, how cool is for a kid to receive a gift with balloons on top instead of a bow? Well, the same goes for adults, it’s just that most people won’t admit it… hehehe

I encourage you to get creative and personalize your presents for the next occasion ;-).

Here are some of my suggestions based on the wrappings I did for last Christmas!

  1. First, pick a color palette. Neutral and metallics, red and golden, black and white, vibrant neons, etc.
  2. Second, go shopping some fun, elegant or subtle materials. All depends on your theme and color palette.

PERSONALIZED CARDS

Instead of the usual bow and ribbon, go for personalized cards based on the occasion. They are so much fun and give a nice twist to the present.  To make it better,  add a message on the card.

WRAPPING PAPER IN THE COLOR OF YOUR CHOOSING

Stick to a color palette and tied back to your theme. Choose diverse prints, textures and even solids.  When you stick to a color palette,  everything will match! If it’s you’re first time, it will be easier too.

I opted for rose quartz, golden, white and black.

In prints I bought a golden paper with Christmas details, a white roll with tonal and bright stripes and a solid soft pink.

ASSORTED & FUN RIBBONS

Go nuts with the ribbons. No limits here. When I was ribbons shopping I found this gorgeous golden thread from, which tied back perfect to what I had in mind.

START EXPERIMENTING AND HAVING FUN

REVITALIZED SKIN RECIPE

There is no girl or woman on this planet that hasn’t read in a post, email update or magazine about the celebrity looking skin or even seen it on a red carpet event. Celebrities skin just GLOWS.

I’m always searching for new beauty products, I love to take care of my skin not only because obviously we all want to age beautifully but because beauty is a subject that I find extremely interesting and fascinating.

On this post I’m sharing my favorite products for getting the amazing revitalized skin we all want. In other words, CELEBRITY LOOKING SKIN.  Please consider your current skin conditions. If you currently suffer any skin condition like acné, rosácea, dermatitis or any other, these products won’t make that condition dissapear. You will have to speak to your dermatologist first and once your skin has reached it’s complete health and balance then you can consider my recommendations. Also it’s important to analyze your skin type. I have normal to dry skin, these routine and products have positively impacted my skin and I will definitely continue to use them.  Hope you can relate to me and find this tips helpful too. I do this routine when I have a special event the next day like filming a video or a photoshoot. First:

CLEANSE AND EXFOLIATE

Before anything I cleanse my skin with JOSIE MARAN CLEANSING ARGAN OIL.  If you follow my blog you already now this is one of my favorites. If you are new you’ll soon notice it too.  After I cleanse my skin, I proceed to exfoliate it.  I love  the CUP O’ COFFEE EXFOLIATING MASK from Lush Cosmetics. It has (for me) , a very strong coffee smell, you’ll feel like you’ve just being dipped into a just brewed cup of coffee, literally.  Apply it all over the face but the eye area, leave it for 15 minutes and as the minutes go by, you’ll start to feel a tightening sensation all over your face.

TIP:Before applying this mask,  I like put it on the fridge for around 30 minutes.  Then I apply the cold mask to my face. The cold coffee sensation on your skin will be explosive.

APPLY STARSKIN VIP MASK-THE GOLD MASK

I bought several masks from Starskin in my latest trip to Amsterdam. I have being wanting to try these masks for quite a long time. They’ve won several skin awards, but to be honest, I need to try the product and then give my verdict, before believing it really works. Finally found them at the airport, so I did not hesitate and bought them.

To apply the mask follow the instructions on the back of the golden envelope. Once you open it, you’ll see the mask has 3 layers. The layer in the middle is the one you’ll apply into your skin. It will be easy for you to identify the correct one. The layers on both sides are very texturized, while the layer in the middle is plain.

Distribute the serum through the entire mask. I personally add a few of the leftover serum on the extra layers into my skin and then apply to mask.  Make sure no wrinkles are left on your face. Leave the mask for 20 minutes. Remove the mask and massage the remaining product onto the skin until absorbed.

This mask is perfect for dry skin skins. The evening primrose  and coconut oil on the mask will contribute to keep your skin smooth and hydrated.

 

NOW GET SOME BEAUTY SLEEP!  The rest of the products, you will apply them the next morning.

JURLIQUE ROSEWATER BALANCING MIST

Once you wake up and wash your face, gently dry it with a clean towel and spray several spirits of Jurlique Rose Water Mist into your face.  The scent of roses combined with marshmallow extract is insanely comforting and refreshing.  This mist will help your skin prepare to absorb all hydrating products you are going to apply. It’s also amazing to set your makeup.

JOSIE MARAN WHIPPED ARGAN OIL FACE BUTTER

I’m a huge fan of Josie Maran and her Argan oil products. I’ve being using them for quite a while and they worked perfectly for my dry skin. I also love they’re made of 100% organic and natural ingredients. This product not only features Argan Oil, it also has cucumber seeds oil and shea butter. All ultra hydrating components. My skin feels super soft. Looks healthy, hydrated and glowy.  This product is so noble, you can also apply it under your eyes.

TIP: Next you can apply Josie Maran Argan oil. I do it because I have dry skin but if your skin is oily to combination I will skip this step.Once your skin care products are set into your skin apply your makeup.  Apply a primer if you need to first.

PHOTO FINISH HYDRATING UNDER EYE PRIMER

I have always struggled with my under eyes. I spent a lot of time on the computer and most of the time, I don’t get enough sleep. So for me it’s crucial a brightening product for my under eyes. Once I discovered this pink undertone primer, believe me undereye game totally changed. After applying Josie Maran whipped Argan Oil and let it set, I proceed to apply this primer.  It has a it’s charged with caffeine and peptides which contribute to reduce puffiness and darkness, both checked on my primary  issues list. Then I’m ready for concealer.

Once your makeup is all set, you can go back and sprit some more Jurlique Rose Mist to set your makeup.

HUNTING CATEYE SHADES

I’m always in the hunt for new sunglasses. They are the perfect accesory. This time I wanted Desi Perkins Collab with QUAY AUSTRALIA. They are not available in Panama, so my options were: wait until my next trip to NYC ( which was not going to happen anytime soon) or get them online. I was about to fall for the online option when at last minute a trip to NYC came up. Yeay!!

 I was very excited and determined to get them, so once I got to NYC the search started.  I did not have much time, so I went straight to the URBAN OUTFITTERS Store on 36th St, Broadway.  To my dissapointment they only had one style and not even close to the ones I wanted.  Second stop, 43rd St. on 5ht Ave. Dissapointment again. Same styles that I found on the first store. I was about to faint from all the walking andI was very tired.  I walked all the way from Broadway to 5th. The traffic was insane and no taxies available. On top of that It was very late, almost 8pm and most shops ares closed by 7pm.  I gave up and said to my self,  make up your mind, get them online or forget about it.

As I was walking through 5th waiting to get a cab and get back to the hotel. I looked across the street  and there was a TOPSHOP store! I Crossed the street really quick to check out closing hours and they were closing at 9pm, which meant I had almost 30 minutes to see if my shades were there.  Once inside, they were right there waiting. I tried them on and BOOM!  They fitted my face perfectly.  The only disapointment I got, was that you don’t get a cleaning cloth included in the case once you purchase them. For the rest, they are perfect!

So here I’m sharing some photos of me rocking those  QUAY CAT EYE SHADES by DESI. Hope you like them and maybe get ones yourself!

CAT EYE6-TGOGCAT EYE 3-TGOG

Siempre estoy en la búsqueda de nuevas gafas de sol.  Son el accesorio perfecto. Esta vez quería las gafas que Desi Perkins diseño en Colaboración con QUAY AUSTRALIA. No están disponibles en Panamá, por lo que mis opciones eran:  Esperar hasta mi próximo viaje a Nueva York (lo cual no iba a pasar muy pronto) o comprarlos en línea. Estaba a punto de irme por la opción de compra en linea cuando por suerte me programaron un viaje de última hora  a Nueva York, Yeay!!

 Estaba muy emocionada y decidida a conseguirlas, por lo que una vez llegué a Nueva York, comenzó la búsqueda. No tenia mucho tiempo así que fui directamente a la tienda URBAN OUTFITTERS en la  Calle 36 de Broadway. Para mi decepción,  sólo tenían un estilo y ni siquiera se parecían a los que buscaba.  Segunda parada, Calle 43 en 5ta Avenida. Decepción de nuevo. Los mismos estilos que había encontrado en la primera tienda. Nada de Desi. Estaba a punto de desmayarme del cansancio por todo lo que había caminado, estaba muy cansada. Caminé desde Broadway hasta la 5ta., el tráfico era una locura y no había taxis disponibles. Además era muy tarde, casi las 9pm y la mayoría de las tiendas cierran a las 7 pm. Me di por vencida y me dije a mi misma, ni modo, cambia de opinión, comprarlas en linea o ya olvídalo.

Mientras caminaba por la 5ta esperando conseguir un taxi y volver al hotel. Miré al otro lado de la calle y había una tienda TOPSHOP(olvide que también las venden)! Crucé la calle muy rápido para verificar las horas de cierre y para mi suerte estaban cerrando a las 9pm, lo que significaba que tenía casi 30 minutos para ver si mis gafas estaban allí. Una vez dentro, estaban ahí esperando, justo en la entrada. Me las probé y BOOM! Encajaban perfectamente en mi rostro. La única decepción que tuve fue que no te dan el pañito para limpiarlas con el estuche. Por el resto,  están perfectas!

SOS FOR HANGOVER SKIN

Did you party long last night or did you just had too many drinks and sadly have to wake up way too early today?? Let me share with you my tips that not only work as SOS for a party looking face, they’ve also helped me when I had a tough night and worked until very late. We all know once you look in the mirror the next morning, the reflection tells it all!

WATER

As soon as I wake up, I drag myself into the kitchen to get a glass of water, the No.1 super natural hydrator. Then I go ahead and place my favorite 911 eye patches in the fridge to cool while I head to take a cold shower to activate my circulation and off course WAKE UP.

Now let get into to fun part!

JOSIE MARAN CLEANSING ARGAN OIL

I cleanse my face with Josie Maran Cleasing oil. It’ the best cleanser I’ve tried in a long time. If you have dry skin like me, you will not regret using it. If you are more into the oily side, I will recommend to consult with your dermatologist first. I wet my face and then add 2 pumps of the cleasing oil into my fingers, rub it a little and then start massaging my face. The sensation is totally different from other cleansers. The oil warms into your skin and turns into milk giving you a very soothing sensation. It takes away all impurities without being too harsh. Argan oil is packed with healing and protective properties like triterpenoids which offer tissue healing if you have scars. It also has anti-inflammatory, sun-protective and disinfectant properties. Finally, I rinse with water and dry with soft padding motions.

TARTE PACK YOUR BAGS

My favorite 911 undereye patches! I take them from the fridge, remove them from the satchet gently and place them right below my under eyes. The cold feel refreshing and the inflammation under the eyes will be reduced.  These patches contain Gardenia Taitensis extract which is a flower that in counties like Samoa, is used to treat inflammation. You will feel very quickly how the skin tightens. I leave the patches for approximately 15 minutes and start getting dressed.

CELESTIAL MOISTURIZER BY LUSH

One of my favorite products from Lush is their Celestial Moisturizer. The aroma of almond milk and vanilla is simply delightful to me. One of the key ingredients in this cream is almonds. According to Joy Bauer, almonds are a great source of Vitamin E which protects skin cells from damage. Joy Bauer is a nutrition and health expert founder of Nourish Snacks, she is also columnist for Woman’s Day magazine. A tip for this cream, keep this product on the fridge, I love the cooling sensation on my skin.
Back to the routine, after I remove my eyepatches, I gently massage my under eyes with almost no pressure to have the skin absorb what’s left of the eyepatches. I take an almond size amount of moisturizer and massage it throughout my face. Because of being vegan, this product will not irritate your skin, on the contrary, will leave your skin super soft with a luminous glow that I personally love. I’ve even extended the application under my eyes and worked perfectly.

BIODERMA 100 TINTED SPF

As an extra tip to finish our rescue session, add some spf to your skin. My esthetician recommended me Bioderma 100% protection.  It will protect  my sensitive skin with cellular bioprotection.  It’s also inted, so it will give a soft golden tan that will also contribute to hide the lack of sleep on your skin. For application I pour a small amount and dab it into my skin. I recommend only padding motions throughout the face.
Now you are ready for a little makeup. I have special products and technique for makeup in this special scenario, however well talk about that in my next beauty post.

POWERFUL SNACK

I know for sure this happens to everybody! When you sit to watch a TV show, movie, read a magazine, a book, or those days when you’re feeling really ancious,.. if you are like me,  the urge of a snack is intense. The sad part is that common people will associate a snack with chips, ice cream, beer, etc. (a.k.a. non healthy foods).

For a couple of months now, I’ve been evaluating how everything I eat reflects into my skin and how I feel.
Chips made me thirstier and the next day my skin is very dry (if I ate late and went to bed almost right away), because of the high sodium content. Ice cream just inflates my belly like a balloon and once I finish eating, guess what? I’m still craving for more, not satisfied at all.

So what did I do? I just STOP buying those non healthy snacks. Instead, I’m buying and eating some of my favorite fruits.  Kiwies and strawberries. I already like them, so why not to eat them more frequently.

But what’s in it for me you might think. Did you know that kiwies and strawberries are two the most powerful fruits out there? High in ANTIOXIDANTS, VITAMIN C, VITAMIN K, POTASSIUM and MANGANESE among others. Some of these components neutralize free radicals that can cause skin damage. These amazing fruits, helps prevent colon cancer as well as cardiovascular and inflamatory deseases. So, start eating some kiwi and strawberries! They are not only healthy, but delicious and exotic. What more can you ask for? After eating them you will feel enterily satisfied.

A tip for breakfast if you are into dairy; add some yogurt and granola! I recommend 100% natural ingredients granola!

Estoy segura esto le sucede a todo el mundo. Te preparas para ver un programa de televisión, leer una revista, un libro o estas muy ansioso… bueno si eres como yo, el deseo de comerte un snack es muy intenso.  La parte triste es que las personas promedio asocian los snacks con chips, helados, cerveza, etc. (mejor conocidos como alimentos no saludables)

Hace un par de meses decidí evaluar cómo todo lo que como se refleja en mi piel y en cómo me siento.
Los chips por ejemplo me hacen sentir mucha sed y mi piel al día siguiente esta super seca (claro si las como muy tarde y me acuesto a dormir casi enseguida), debido a  su alto contenido de sodio. El helado por otra parte me hace sentir el vientre como un globo y una vez he terminado de comer, ¿adivinen qué? Todavía estoy con mucha ansiedad e insatisfecha.

Así que simplemente NO compro mas snacks no saludables. En lugar, compro algunas de mis frutas favoritas. Kiwies y fresas! Me encantan así que porque no comerlas con mayor frecuencia.

Pero pensaran ustedes, y que beneficio tengo obtengo yo? ¿Sabías que los kiwies y las fresas son algunas de las frutas más poderosas? Tienen un alto contenido de antioxidantes, vitamina C, vitamina K, potasio y magnesio entre otros. Algunos de estos componentes neutralizan los radicales libres que pueden causar mucho daño a la piel. También contribuyen a prevenir el cáncer de colon, enfermedades cardio vasculares e inflamatorias.  Así que empieza a comer kiwi y fresas! No sólo son saludables, sino que también son deliciosas y exóticas. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Después de comerlas te sentirás completamente satisfecho.

Tip para el desayuno; si te gustan los  lácteos, añade yogurt y granola! Recomiendo granola con ingredientes 100% naturales!

They are synonim of great sense of style in todays fashion world.  I have to be honest, lately everytime I put togeher an outfit, white sneakers are always right to me. They have just became the MUST HAVE piece for many of us. So in tribute to the passion for white sneakers, I decided to wear this Easy Sporty Look with a hint of the 80s. Its easy without being to comfy if you know what I mean.

I paired my favorite jogging pants with a 3/4 sleeve silk striped blouse; choker necklace for a touch of glam; pulled my hair up on a top knot; added my recent favorite shoulder flap bag and the featured piece of this post⇒ WHITE SNEAKERS  from NINE WEST. To break the black and white palette I wore bright pink socks.

Hace un tiempo que buscaba un shoulder top. Quería algo diferente, divertido y con toque muy inesperado.  Mientras realizaba mi acostumbrado hunting, encontré este modelo de rayas horizontales en diversos colores. El toque de MOSTAZA y AZUL MARINO me cautivaron así que adivinen que, imposible resistirme, quede prensada. Un estilo con un corte muy particular, llevando 2 tendencias a la vez. HOMBROS DESCUBIERTOS y MANGAS ESTILO CAMPANA.

Para algunas parecerá una pieza difícil. Es cierto es una pieza que mucho de bastantes conceptos, pero, si consideras que al tener colores y rayas en diversos tonos, lo puedes llevar con infinitos bottoms; DENIMS, SHORTS, MINIS, PANTALONES BASTA ANCHA, etc., la opciones son ilimitadas. Lo cual significa que tienes una pieza versátil en tu closet. Si eres de esas chicas que piensa que es una pieza de esas que cuando te la pones nadie olvida que la repetiste, bueno déjame contarte también recordaran lo creativa que eres en tu estilo si la combinas universalmente y el hecho de que la has usado anteriormente pasara a segundo plano.

Por otro lado si deseas disminuir la atención hacías tus caderas o derriere, esta piezas es excelente. Te recomiendo piezas llamativas como esta para que la atencion este enfocada en la parte superior de tu cuerpo.

I´ve being looking for a shoulder top for quite some time. I wanted something different, fun and with a very unexpected touch. While doing some hunting, I found this style with a horizontal stripes pattern in different colors. The touch of MUSTARD and NAVY BLUE captivated me. A style with a particular cut taking two trends at once. BARE SHOULDERS and BELL SLEEVES, so guess what…impossible to resist and as a result I was hocked.  Some of you may find it a very difficult piece. It’s not so complicated, if you consider that having colors and stripes in various shades, give you infinite combination combos; DENIMS, SHORTS, MINIS, PANTS, TAYLORED WIDE LEGS, etc., the choices are very diverse.  

On the other hand, if you want to distract the attention from your hips or derriere, I always recommend striking pieces like this. To complete the look , I chose a leather drawstring bucket, also in MUSTARD.
