HUNTING CATEYE SHADES

by Debbie

I’m always in the hunt for new sunglasses. They are the perfect accesory. This time I wanted Desi Perkins Collab with QUAY AUSTRALIA. They are not available in Panama, so my options were: wait until my next trip to NYC ( which was not going to happen anytime soon) or get them online. I was about to fall for the online option when at last minute a trip to NYC came up. Yeay!!

I was very excited and determined to get them, so once I got to NYC the search started.  I did not have much time, so I went straight to the URBAN OUTFITTERS Store on 36th St, Broadway.  To my dissapointment they only had one style and not even close to the ones I wanted.  Second stop, 43rd St. on 5ht Ave. Dissapointment again. Same styles that I found on the first store. I was about to faint from all the walking andI was very tired.  I walked all the way from Broadway to 5th. The traffic was insane and no taxies available. On top of that It was very late, almost 8pm and most shops ares closed by 7pm.  I gave up and said to my self,  make up your mind, get them online or forget about it.

As I was walking through 5th waiting to get a cab and get back to the hotel. I looked across the street  and there was a TOPSHOP store! I Crossed the street really quick to check out closing hours and they were closing at 9pm, which meant I had almost 30 minutes to see if my shades were there.  Once inside, they were right there waiting. I tried them on and BOOM!  They fitted my face perfectly.  The only disapointment I got, was that you don’t get a cleaning cloth included in the case once you purchase them. For the rest, they are perfect!

So here I’m sharing some photos of me rocking those  QUAY CAT EYE SHADES by DESI. Hope you like them and maybe get ones yourself!

DARK ROMANCE CONTRAST

by Debbie

Romantic looks are most of the time associated with lace, soft and delicate colors. When I put together this look, the key piece that tied together the entire look was the slip on camisole. I recently bought it and the minute I saw it I thought, FLUID ROMANCE STYLING but with certain darkeness to it. A romantic look with an attitude and not too softy.

Even though I have always loved the contrast of black and soft blushed nude colors, this time I decided to skiped them and stayed with the black.

Starting from top to bottom; romantic flowered slip on camisole and black pleated pants. The interesting detail on the pants are the sateened sides and fluid tayloring which makes it very modern and elegant at the same time. For shoes, I opted for this pointed hills, (which by the way, I had for a very long time and never go out of style) with mini studded detail. You can never go wrong with pointed stilettos. Added a shoulder bag in saffiano leather also y black.  To complete the look a chooker necklace in black suede was absolutely mandatory. These necklaces are very flaterring for the neckline if you are wearing almost bare shoulders.

To add a Little sexy factor, wet look only on the front for a sleek haristyle.

Hope you love it and let me know your thoughts!

Comenzando de arriba hacia abajo; Camisola slip on the flores y pantalones negros de pliegues.

Shoulder Top – ZARA/

Short blanco – TOMMY HILFIGER/

Cartera Drawstring – ZARA/

Plataformas – STUDIO F

I´ve being looking for a shoulder top for quite some time. I wanted something different, fun and with a very unexpected touch. While doing some hunting, I found this style with a horizontal stripes pattern in different colors. The touch of MUSTARD and NAVY BLUE captivated me. A style with a particular cut taking two trends at once. BARE SHOULDERS and BELL SLEEVES, so guess what…impossible to resist and as a result I was hocked.  Some of you may find it a very difficult piece. It’s not so complicated, if you consider that having colors and stripes in various shades, give you infinite combination combos; DENIMS, SHORTS, MINIS, PANTS, TAYLORED WIDE LEGS, etc., the choices are very diverse.

On the other hand, if you want to distract the attention from your hips or derriere, I always recommend striking pieces like this. To complete the look , I chose a leather drawstring bucket, also in MUSTARD.

THE DOUBLE BREASTED BLAZER

Blazers.  Another favorite of mine. But…the double breasted blazer is a special one. This blazer is a true British style statement. Its a piece that has often being associated with incredible power and sense of status.

Mainly wore by man, back in the days it was a piece considered not to be part of a formal attire. It was a casual  style  called reefer jacket.  It wasnt until the 1930s and 1940s when it became a solid business-veryformal  piece. it became such a powerful piece, that It was easy to see Wall Street executives proudly wearing it.  Al Capone hilmself wore this incredile blazer.

Style has evolved incredibly. Nowadays the boyfriend look is more than common and many pieces have being reinvented to be worn by females, the double breasted blazer is no exception.  Honoring how style continues to evolve, for this look I picked my favorite double breasted blazer in a cloudy washed fabric. A washed made mainly in shades of indigo a light blue.  Ripped white denims seemed a perfect match for the look and also a double toned suede sandals.  A rebel touch comes with adding an explosion of rings.

Remeber that style trascends, always. Fashion is just temporarly. The only thing that is constant is change.

See ya!

The Circle of Power

by Debbie

the circle of power

My circle of power and walked experiences, hehe.  Let me clarify that not all members are displayed this time.  While I was taking this picture, I thought, how many pairs of shoes a woman can actually have? Honestly I have quite a few. However, my shoes represent many things that are far from being only vanity. They represent experiences , places, people, memories,  style statements and moods, adventures, destinations and even aromas.

I will continue to walk my shoes and see where will they take me next time.  hope I´ts somewhere fun!
